Most of us were never taught how to give feedback well. This too often means we avoid it, soften it into meaninglessness, or even wield it like a weapon. In horizontal or shared-power structures, who gives feedback to whom? What makes it fair? How do you hold each other accountable without recreating the top-down dynamics you set out to escape?

This webinar is about doing the hard thing: having real feedback conversations that build trust instead of eroding it.

We'll move past the false choice between rigid hierarchy and structureless chaos, and look at concrete models for horizontal leadership and shared power even within hierarchy, including the common challenges and opportunities in different supervision structures. We'll reframe feedback itself: not as punishment or a hunt for perfection, but as a practice that brings people closer, deepens how we understand one another, and strengthens our accountability to our communities and clients.

• Participatory action research as a model for collaborative, community-rooted design; closing the loop from feedback to action
• A way to ground feedback in clear accountability: who are you accountable to, and for what?

We are not a nonprofit, we are a network of practitioners who do this work balanced with other commitments and grassroots support makes this work sustainable for us.
