Transformative Justice (TJ) is a framework for organizing and activism that we believe in and practice at Spring Up. TJ is both a philosophy of care and collective liberation, as well as a collection of practices exploring how we respond to violence and harm within ourselves and our communities. But what does that all mean, really? And how can we begin to implement and embody the ideas and practices of Transformative Justice in our everyday lives? Words and phrases like “community care,” “generative conflict,” and “accountability” all sound great, but what do they really look like in our lives?
In the webinar, we dive into concepts like accountability and how we can practice on a small scale daily, how to plan for safety and care, and informed consent.
